1996.02 |
Girdle the thin branch of the maternal plant to make the aerial roots grow. |
Have the aerial roots cultivated in a small pot until the time for inarching. |
The cut small branches were about to be inarched at the concavity on the tree, as the circle shows. June of 1997 |
The daughter plants were inarched on the trunk top, as the arrows indicate. |
Wrap tightly with long cloth for better combination. |
The long aerials roots of daughter plants were drawn to the ground through tubes. |
Cutting the long aerial roots |
The trunk without the aerial roots that extended to the ground |
Both the long aerial roots that reached the ground and the trunk’s aerial roots grew exuberantly, which meant that the nutrient for the inarched branches was being delivered directly by aerial roots instead of the trunk. Therefore, the trunk did not have a big change in its shape. |
Removing the useless aerial roots that were attached to the trunk during fertilization |
After removing the aerial roots, the connecting part had mostly recovered and formed a whole. |
After style arrangement, March of 1998 |
The cultivation of the first and second part of the branches had finished, 27th of March, 1998. |
